How Was "God's Big Backyard"?

Last week's VBS on the church playground was a big success!  Children learned to serve family, friends, neighbors, community and Jesus Christ!  A younger crowd than expected showed up for "God's Big Backyard" which meant lots more fun for all involved in the story time tent, clothesline crafts, service pavilion and club house.  Children earned "helping hands," currently on display in the fellowship hall, for serving others.  They also created lots of cool crafts to share with others.  Most of all, the fellowship among the different ages was a delight for all involved.  Thank you to all of the VBS volunteers! To all the kids, "Great Job!"  Listen to music and more at www.vacationbibleschool.com/gfpc.  Visit our youth page or contact Mary Lou Griffith for more information on summer youth events at GFPC.

You're Invited:  Dress Is Summer Casual

You're invited to our early, informal worship service at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings this summer.  Come enjoy a casual atmosphere, modern hymns, multimedia elements, contemporary praise instrumentation, and light breakfast foods.  The early service is held in the family-friendly surroundings of our fellowship hall.  A comfy nursery is located just downstairs, but the sites and sounds of small children further our praise of the Lord! A ramp provides wheelchair accessibility from the sidewalk on Gunter Avenue, and is also used by those who walk to church. Throw on a pair of shorts and flip flops; God will do the rest!  Light breakfast foods and coffee are provided.  Drop by before heading out to sparkling Lake Guntersville.
