The Early Bird Gets the Worm An English proverb, "the early bird catcheth the worm," comes to mind when describing our early worship service. Early birds enjoy a casual atmosphere, modern hymns, multimedia elements, contemporary praise instrumentation, and light breakfast foods. The early service is held in the family-friendly surroundings of our spacious fellowship hall at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings followed by Sunday school for all ages. A comfy nursery is located just downstairs, and a ramp provides wheelchair accessibility from the sidewalk on Gunter Avenue. Throw on a pair of jeans, pull your hair back, and God will do the rest. See you there!
More About GFPC Welcome to the website for the First Presbyterian Church of Guntersville, Alabama. Our mission is to glorify God, make disciples of Jesus Christ, and meet human need. If you visit scenic Lake Guntersville, we invite you to attend a Sunday worship service at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. You are also invited to study scripture with us in one of our Sunday school classes sandwiched between our two worship services at 10:00 a.m. If you plan to visit our historic church as part of North Alabama's Hallelujah Trail, plan to be greeted by a friendly church family eager to make you feel at home at GFPC.
